Datasonic bags RM150m contract extensions from Ministry of Home Affairs

DATASONIC Group Bhd has accepted two letters of extension (LOE) from Malaysia’s Ministry of Home Affairs for contracts totaling RM150.45 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company stated that the first LOE is for the supply of Malaysian passport documents to the Malaysia Immigration Department for a period of 12 months, from December 1, 2024, to November 30, 2025, with an additional ceiling contract value of RM57.15 million.

The second LOE is for the supply of polycarbonate biodata pages to the Malaysia Immigration Department for the same duration, with an additional ceiling contract value of RM93.3 million.

Datasonic expects the contracts to contribute positively to its future earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ending March 31, 2025, and the financial year thereafter. — TMR
