PAS VP resigns as PN Treasurer

PAS VP Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar (picture) has resigned from his position as Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) treasurer, effective yesterday.

The Islamic party’s official media portal, Harakahdaily, released a brief statement from Samsuri, who is also the Terengganu Mentri Besar.

“Assalamualaikum to all friends. I would like to inform everyone that I, Ahmad Samsuri bin Mokhtar, have submitted my resignation letter as Treasurer General of Perikatan Nasional today, Wednesday, December 11, 2024. That is all. Please be informed,” he said in the statement published on the portal.
 
PN has yet to release an official response on the matter.
 
Meanwhile, Bernama reported that the PN Supreme Council, in its meeting on Dec 9, confirmed several key appointments within the coalition following Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s recent party elections.
 
These appointments include Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali as secretary general, Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin as Wanita PN chief, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin Bersatu’s newly elected deputy president as PN deputy chairman, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu as information chief.
