HOMERITZ Corporation Bhd has reported a fire incident that occurred today at one of the premises of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Embrace Industries Sdn Bhd (EISB).

The fire, which started around 8:00am, affected a spraying line and inventory work-in-progress at a factory building located in Muar, Johor.

The damage was confined to one block of the furniture factory, and no other production facilities or buildings were impacted.

As a result, production activities at the other facilities continued as normal.

Homeritz and EISB’s management are working to determine the full extent of the damage caused by the fire.

To mitigate production disruptions, Homeritz plans to utilise another spraying line at a different factory in the same district, located at Lots PTD 10628 and 10629, Jalan Bakri, Muar, Johor.

The financial impact of the incident is still under assessment, and the company will provide further updates if necessary. — TMR
