FGV Holdings Bhd’s subsidiary, FGV Integrated Farming Holdings Sdn Bhd (FGVIF), has terminated the conditional shareholders agreement with Qatar-based Baladna Food Industries W.L.L and Touch Group Holdings Sdn Bhd due to the expiration of the deadline to meet the required conditions.
Baladna, primarily engaged in feed trading and the management of agricultural projects and investments outside Qatar, was part of the agreement.
Touch Group, involved in a wide range of industries including consulting, property management, agriculture, security services, hospitality, construction, tourism, food and beverages, and ICT, was also a party to the agreement.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, FGV confirmed that the termination will not have a significant impact on FGVIF.
The agreement had been made for the development of an integrated dairy farming business in Chuping, Perlis. –TMR
