TMC Life Sciences Bhd’s (TMC) suspended Group CEO, Wan Nadiah Wan Mohd Abdullah Yaakob (picture), has been found guilty of all five charges of misconduct following a domestic inquiry conducted by an independent panel.
The inquiry was initiated after the parties failed to resolve the matter through show-cause letters and mediation.
The allegations against Wan Nadiah initially numbered six at the start of the year but expanded to 15 by March before being reduced to eight in August and finally to five during the domestic inquiry.
The independent panel, appointed to ensure impartiality, ruled against Wan Nadiah on all charges after evaluating the evidence and representations made during the proceedings.
In a bourse filing today, TMC confirmed the findings and announced that it would move to the next stage of the disciplinary process to determine the appropriate action.
“The board will proceed with the next phase of the disciplinary process and determine the appropriate disciplinary action for Puan Nadiah,” it said.
“The board will make further announcements on this matter at the appropriate time.”
Wan Nadiah, who also served as CEO of Thomson Hospitals under TMC, was suspended in January 2024 amid allegations of professional misconduct.
Her suspension marked the beginning of a protracted legal and procedural battle that has unfolded over nearly a year. — TMR
