MALAYSIAN music icon 6ixth Sense is marking its 20th anniversary in spectacular fashion with a grand solo concert, 6ixth Sense Hori20ntal: Celebrating 20 Years, set to take place on Feb 9, 2025, at Zepp Kuala Lumpur.
This milestone event is not just a celebration of the band’s journey, but also a gift to loyal fans who have supported it through every high and low over the years.
The band, known for its unique blend of rock and pop, has come a long way since its debut in 2005. Back then, an Indonesian vocalist named Adi Priyo Sambodo, discovered while busking, joined a group of talented Malaysian musicians to create what would become one of the country’s most beloved bands.
From the breakthrough hit Hari Ini Dan Semalam to its chart-topping anthem Khatimah Cinta, 6ixth Sense has evolved with every album, constantly experimenting with new sounds while staying true to the emotional core of its music.
The concert promises to be more than a typical performance. Built around the Hori20ntal concept, it symbolises the band’s continuous journey through life and music. The name itself incorporates “20” to signify two decades of artistry, while the horizontal line reflects steady progression amid the inevitable ups and downs of a music career. Designed by Racus Studio, this concept captures 6ixth Sense’s resilience and enduring relevance in the ever-changing music industry.
Fans can expect an immersive experience that combines powerful storytelling with cutting-edge technology. The concert will feature a dynamic interplay of sound and visuals, including advanced lighting and high-definition displays. It is designed to take audiences on an emotional journey, weaving through the band’s iconic hits and its latest creations, each song a reflection of its growth as artists and individuals.
The story of 6ixth Sense is one of passion and perseverance. The band’s career milestones include early successes with Tanpa and Tak Bisa Memilihmu, which expanded its fanbase beyond Malaysia into Indonesia, and its 2016 live performances across South-East Asia, which cemented the band’s reputation for electrifying concerts.
Even during the pandemic, the band found ways to stay connected with fans, releasing new music and hosting virtual performances. Most recently, its album 7Belas in 2022 showcased a reinvigorated sound, paving the way for this celebratory concert.
