Parliament cafeteria shut down by KL Health Department over hygenie issues

A CAFETERIA in the main Parliament building has been ordered to close by the Kuala Lumpur Health Department for two weeks, from 8pm Nov 13 until Nov 26.

The order was issued following an inspection which found that the cafe was unhygienic and not properly sanitised, posing a potential danger to the public.

Lim Guan Eng (PH-Bagan) raised Standing Order 81(1) concerning the Select Committee on the summons issued to the Parliament cafe during the winding up session on Nov 13.

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul had a meeting with parties involved after the sitting. – TMR
