MKI labels Global Ikhwan teachings as deviant from Islamic principles

THE Muzakarah Committee of the National Council for Islamic Affairs (MKI) has labelled the teachings of Nasiruddin Mohd Ali from GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) as deviant.

According to Utusan Malaysia, this decision was made during the 125th MKI meeting from Sept 24 to 26, after a thorough review of the facts and arguments presented by researchers.

MKI chairman Datuk Dr Nooh Gadot confirmed that the teachings, beliefs and practices associated with Nasiruddin Mohd Ali and GISBH, including those linked to the company and its affiliates, contain deviant elements that are not in line with Islamic teachings.

He noted that GISBH believes Asy-Syeikh Muhammad Abdullah As-Suhaimi, known as Syeikh Muhammad Suhaimi, is the Imam Mahdi, with Asaari bin Muhammad expected to aid him in the end times.

“It is also believed that Asaari bin Muhammad has the ability to intercede on behalf of his followers,” he said as quoted by Utusan

Nooh pointed out practices such as using water from the leader’s hair and beard, believed to carry blessings and an economic model where followers work voluntarily in exchange for support instead of payment seen as contrary to Islamic values.

MKI also condemned the practice of Aurad Muhammadiah and other forms of zikr associated with GISBH, declaring them deviant.

“Individuals must avoid these beliefs and practices and are prohibited from adhering to, teaching, spreading or following them, and those involved should repent sincerely,” he said.
