TEXCHEM Resources Bhd (TRB) said that it and its subsidiaries experienced a cybersecurity incident where some data on their servers was encrypted, restricting access to certain information.
In a swift response, TRB said it isolated its network and launched a comprehensive recovery plan to protect its systems and restore the affected servers.
The group told the bourse in a filing today that it has engaged an external cybersecurity consultant to thoroughly investigate the incident, identify any security gaps, and bolster its cybersecurity measures.
Additionally, the consultant will assist TRB in the data recovery process, which is already underway.
The company noted its commitment to minimising operational disruptions and reassured stakeholders that it prioritizes information security.
According to TRB, the incident has not resulted in financial losses or operational disruptions, and there is currently no evidence of any external data leaks.
The company will continue monitoring the situation and will provide updates if there are significant developments. — TMR
