BURSA Malaysia Bhd’s net profit surged 42% to RM85.74 million in its third quarter ended Sept 30, 2024 (3Q24) compared to the same period last year, in line with higher operating revenue.

Revenue rose 33% to RM211.26 million, thanks to a 48% quarter-on-quarter (qoq) jump in the securities market business mainly due to higher operating revenue in 3Q24.

For the nine-month period, its net profit surged by 25% to RM241.22 million while the group’s revenue increased 30% to RM598.39 million compared to the same period last year.

At 4.45pm, its stock rose 1.35% at RM9.03, with a market capitalisation of RM7.32 billion. – TMR
