Keyfield International clinches RM130m offshore vessel contracts from Petronas Carigali

KEYFIELD International Berhad (KIB) said that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Keyfield Offshore Sdn Bhd (KOSB), has netted eight work order awards from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd worth a total of RM130.3 million.

The contracts, accepted between June and August 2024, cover the provision of six accommodation work boats (AWBs) and two anchor handling tug and supply vessels (AHTS) for offshore support services.

The work orders are part of a broader agreement under the panel contractor contract (PCC) for offshore support vessel (OSV) services, signed between KOSB and Petronas Carigali on April 9, 2024.

The scope of the contract includes offshore support for petroleum arrangement contractors (PACs).

The awarded contracts range from 91 to 153 days in duration and work is scheduled to be carried out during the second half of 2024.

The vessels will be deployed to support Petronas Carigali’s offshore operations, providing essential accommodation and logistical services for personnel and equipment.

KIB expects the contracts to contribute positively to the company’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending December 31, 2024. — TMR
