GISBH-linked man charged for criminal intimidation

A man linked to Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISBH) has been charged today with criminal intimidation for threatening a woman to withdraw a police report she made against him on Sept 9.

Riza Makar, 39 who worked in a printing company related to GISBH however pleaded not guilty in front of magistrate Ahmad Afiq Hasan at Putrajaya Magistrate Court this morning.

The charge was framed under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation, punishable with imprisonment for up to two years, or a fine, or both upon conviction.

Riza, who has three wives and 10 children, also pleaded with the court to reduce the amount of bail of RM30,000 on the grounds that the tenth child had just been born and had not had time to register the birth.

In addition, he also needs to make preparations for the children to return to school.

The Judge set the bail at RM10,000 with one surety as well as Riza not allowed to submit his passport to the court, not disturbing the complainant as well as having to report to the police station.
