Alpha IVF expands to Manila with new IVF centre

FERTILITY care specialist, Alpha IVF Group Bhd, is expanding its presence in Southeast Asia by establishing a full-fledged In vitro fertilisation (IVF) centre in Manila, Philippines.

This marks the Group’s second overseas venture, following the successful launch of a centre in Singapore in 2019.

The new centre, set to open in early 2025, aims to serve the 115 million population in the Philippines, where declining fertility rates highlight a growing demand for advanced reproductive care.

The centre will be operated through Alpha IVF (Manila) Incorporated, a newly formed entity.
Alpha IVF Systems Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the group, along with Group MD Datuk Dr. Colin Lee (picture) and non-independent ED Dr. Ng Peng Wah, hold a combined 91% stake in the venture.

The remaining shares are held by local partners Dr. Romerico F. Torres and Dr. Maria Victoria Tan.

“We view the Philippines as being one of the fastest growing markets for IVF services. Our expansion into Manila is part of our broader vision to strengthen our footprint across Southeast Asia, enabling us to tap into new markets and support more couples on their family setting journeys.

“Like Malaysia, the Philippines has seen a notable decline in fertility rates, which point to a growing need for our specialized services. Against the backdrop of high potential patient load, we see setting up an IVF centre in Manila as a promising opportunity to extend our high pregnancy success rates to the country,” said Lee

Alpha IVF Group will replicate its IVF laboratories and embryology services and deploy its proprietary system of systems to ensure high pregnancy rates in its new centre in Manila. — TMR
