THE Danna Langkawi Resort & Beach Villas, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, has appointed Aditya Shamsher Malla (picture) as its new GM effective August 2024.

Aditya has over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry. 

His career includes roles in operating, pre-opening, renovating, converting, repositioning and relaunching branded hotels across both leisure and business destinations.

The list of hotel brands that Aditya has worked with includes Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Taj Luxury Hotels, Shangri-La, Hyatt Regency, The Westin, Marriott International and Hilton.

He also holds advanced qualifications in strategic leadership and management from the Indian School of Business and Indian Institute of Management Bengaluru (IIM) along with an honours degree in Economics from Delhi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Human Resources from Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad (IMT).

Additionally, Aditya was recognised in the Forbes List of Top 100 Great People Managers in 2020 for his leadership contributions in the hospitality industry.

Aditya is also active in industry associations and mentor future leaders in hospitality. 

He has contributed as the VP of Poona Hoteliers Association (PHA), president of SKAL International Kolkata, Managing Committee member of SKAL Hyderabad and Mumbai, and Tourism Committee member of CII in West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.
