SAS 2024 to attract RM1.3 bil of potential transaction value in Sept 2024


Invest Selangor Bhd anticipated a total of RM1.3 billion of potential transaction value for its Selangor Aviation Show 2024 (SAS 2024), which will be held from September 12 to 14 at the Skypark Regional Aviation Centre (RAC).

“We are optimistic that we can hit the target,” said Selangor’s EXCO for Investment, Trade and Mobility, Ng Sze Han during its launch today.

Furthermore, he explained that the team has aggressively participated in various aviation events in the Southeast Asian region and Europe this year to ensure a continuous presence in the international arena, as well as to promote SAS 2024. 

Apart from that, SAS 2024 also anticipated 25,000 regional participants, 30 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and 40 countries participating such as the US, France and Singapore.

With the theme of “The One & Only Business & General Aviation Show in the Region”, SAS 2024 aims to promote regional business aviation, general aviation, as well as drone related activities. The show also serves as a platform for local companies to showcase their products and services, and provide the opportunity to attract potential investors to enhance growth and partnership.

SAS 2024 has expanded its size by adding additional hangars for the event and offers several types of booths and chalets to meet the preferences and demands of the industry players who are interested to participate. 

There will be a total of 52 shell scheme booths that will be made available for SAS 2024 participants, occupying a total of two hangars. In addition, SAS 2024 will also offer a range of chalet setups for personalised discussion areas. 

SAS 2024 also anticipated a bigger participation of static aircraft displays and hoped the big OEMs and other major industry players would be returning with their latest aircrafts to be displayed in our show.

Rates for standard shell scheme booths start from as low as RM6,000 and rates for chalet starts from RM25,000. Bare space is also available starting from RM600.00 per square metre.

The three-day event will bring various exciting programs and activities including networking cocktails, forums and talks, career fair, children’s activities and airshow.

In addition, SAS 2024 will incorporate several new segments such as space technology as well as search and rescue to bring an additional layer of value, enriching the overall experience for all participants.

Among the programs planned for SAS 2024 includes the Career in Aviation, a job placement fair that will feature 40 related companies in the industry seeking to find employees. In the 2023 edition, SAS had a total of 26 companies, including Malaysia Aviation Group Berhad, Spirit Aerosystem (M) Sdn Bhd, Batik Air and UMW Aerospace Sdn Bhd which offered immediate vacancies for the potential job seekers.

SAS 2024 anticipated a bigger number of commercial aviation and air transport services companies ranging from sub sectors of aviation including aircraft maintenance, suppliers of aircraft components and structures, or any activities related to the aviation industry to be participating and hope to offer a bigger number of employment opportunities for job seekers. The career fair will be organised on 13 to 14 September, 2024.

Previously, the SAS 2023 has brought together 109 foreign and local companies as exhibitors, 49 static aircraft displays and participation from countries such as the US, Denmark, France and Singapore. Apart from that, SAS 2023 also attracted a number of prominent industry players such as Textron, Gulfstream and Dassault Aviation. In terms of business transactions during the event days, a total of 28 MoUs were signed during the event, involving RM823 million in potential transaction value. The show also attracted a total of 19,217 international and domestic visitors.

SAS 2024 is also open for public entrance for free on September 14, 2024 and those interested are welcome to register online.
