OpenSys bags RM105m Maybank contract for outward cheque clearing

OPENSYS (M) Bhd has won a RM105 million contract from Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) to manage the outward cheque clearing process for all Maybank branches across Malaysia.

The seven-year contract begins on January 1, 2024, and ends on December 31, 2030, with no automatic renewal provision.

The contract is expected to have a positive impact on OpenSys’ earnings until the end of the financial year in 2024.

OpenSys’ shares rose by 1.43%, closing at 35.5 sen today and giving the company a market capitalisation of RM158.63 million. – TMR
