CAPITAL A Bhd and its subsidiary, AirAsia Aviation Group Limited (AAAGL), have announced memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (Garuda) and PT Citilink Indonesia (Citilink), initiating a significant partnership in the ASEAN travel and logistics sector.

The MoUs, inked today, establish a framework for seamless travel services within the ASEAN region. It is non-binding in nature and does not hold any commercial value.

The interline agreement will provide travellers with access to underserved Indonesian cities, enhancing connectivity.

Capital A’s cargo logistics business, Teleport, will collaborate with Garuda’s Cargo operation to facilitate efficient goods movement across Asia Pacific.

The MOUs are not expected to impact Capital A’s financials or introduce new business risks.

The board of directors of Capital A believes that the MOUs are in the best interest of the company, representing a significant development in ASEAN travel and logistics. – TMR
