Bursa Malaysia rebukes Eksons Corp for non-compliance with listing rules

BURSA Malaysia has publicly reprimanded Eksons Corp Bhd for non-compliance with listing requirements.

Eksons failed to incorporate revisions from its July 29 announcement into its fourth quarterly report for the year ended March 31, 2022, announced on May 30.

As a consequence, Bursa has mandated a limited review of Eksons’ quarterly report submissions by external auditors, starting from the financial period ending in 2023.

The responsibility for compliance rests with the company’s directors, and Bursa emphasises the importance of maintaining appropriate standards of responsibility and accountability.

Bursa said it viewed the breach seriously as the requirement for listed companies to submit financial statements that are factual, clear, unambiguous, accurate, succinct and contains sufficient information to enable investors to make informed decisions are fundamental obligations. – TMR
