MyTV Broadcasting Sdn Bhd (MyTV) has launched Malaysia’s free-to-air Over-the-Top (OTT) streaming service, “MyTV Mana-Mana” during the inaugural MyFestiva event in Aeon Mall Tebrau City, Johor Bahru.
It was officiated by the Ministry of Communications and Digital’s Deputy Secretary General (Strategic Communications and Creative Industry) Mastura Ahmad Mustafa.
The MyTV Mana-Mana app is a digital platform which supports local and international content in High-Definition (HD), live and on-demand.
In a recent statement, MyTV said its features are comparable to other popular streaming services with non-stop live TV channels and radio stations, on-demand content with the ability to play, fast forward, rewind, and pause, catch-up for up to seven days, content sharing, picture-in-picture (PIP) capabilities, an interactive TV guide, and seamless viewing across multiple devices.

“Due to the digital adoption and current growth of streaming services platform, MyTV does not want to miss out on providing an OTT platform to Malaysians.
“This is a step forward in bridging the digital gap and gives our viewers new access to our content in line with the government’s aspiration,” it said.
MyTV Mana-Mana has created a new avenue to Malaysia’s broadcasting industry where local content providers can broadcast ideas and creative content easily without involving any infrastructure costs, it added.

MyTV Mana-Mana carries live free-to-air TV channels, namely RTM channels (TV1, TV2, Sukan RTM, Berita RTM, TV6 and Okey TV), TV Al Hijrah, Bernama, Suke TV, TV Ikim, and SukeTV, as well as local and international on-demand content.
Recently, new international channels such as TVRI & TVRI World from Indonesia have been added as well as new sports channels Horizon Sports and Motor Racing along with other channels such as My Cinema Europe and Enjoy TV5.
Other popular on-demand content such as K-Drama and Thai Drama will be released soon.
MyTV Mana-Mana also features radio stations such as ManisFM, NsaionalFM,
TraxxFM, Radio Ikim, MinnalFM, Klasik Nasional, AsyikFM, SabahFM, SarawakFM, WaiFM, 988FM, AIFM and Bernama Radio.

MYTV also welcomes more local content and productions to come on board as it offers collaboration opportunities not only to showcase their content but also to utilise commercial spaces available on the platform.
MyTV Broadcasting Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Azlina Mohd Yusof said the aim is to expand the dynamics of how MyTV’s content is consumed.
“We provide an alternative platform for viewers to get important information about current news, socio-economics and latest developments channelled by the government in addition to enjoying their favourite programmes in the comfort of their home or on the go,” she said in the statement.

The inaugural MyFestiva event, which took place from July 21 to 23, 2023 at Aeon Mall Tebrau City, Johor Bahru, provided visitors with a preview of the MyTV Mana-Mana app, showcasing the platform’s user-friendly interface, library of content, and newly updated features.
The event brought together local content providers to meet and greet the public. MyTV also distributed free decoders to B40 households.
MyTV Mana-Mana can now be viewed at www.mana2.my and is available for free download on Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
