KUCHING — Tickets sales for the upcoming Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2023 has received good response, said Sarawak Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.
He said the early bird tickets for the festival that is going to be held from June 23 to 25 at the Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) here, have all been taken up.
“That reflects the good response we received because 60 per cent of the early bird tickets have been bought by locals and 40 percent by foreigners.
“When it comes to RWMF, it has created a name of its own, a lot of attendees are those that had been there for the past few years,” he said in a press conference after RWMF 2023 sponsors appreciation day event here, today.
With the theme ‘Reflections’, RWMF 2023 will feature more than 20 bands from 12 countries.
Festival goers can look forward to performances by Grammy Award winner Gipsy Kings and Malaysian local talents which include Zee Avi among others. — BERNAMA
