THE Selangor International Business Summit 2023 (SIBS 2023) aims to generate RM1.5 billion in possible negotiated sales in this year’s edition — which will take place from Oct 19 to 22 this year.

Boasting 1,050 booth participants, the annual four-day summit by Invest Selangor Bhd is expected to attract more than 50,000 trade visitors at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

“SIBS is a great platform for businesses to showcase their brand and services to a diverse audience from various industries and countries.

“By participating in SIBS, we hope you get the exposure you need to potentially attract new clients, which will ultimately lead to business growth,” said the Selangor State Exco for Industry and Trade Datuk Teng Chang Khim during the media launch of SIBS yesterday.

With the theme “Selangor, Gateway to Asean”, SIBS 2023 will feature a total of six unique concurrent events, highlighting the diverse range of business and investment prospects available.

Among the programmes to look forward to are the ninth Selangor International Expo (F&B), the ninth Selangor International Expo (Medic), the 3rd Selangor Industrial Park Expo (SPARK 2023), the 7th Selangor Asean Business Conference (SABC 2023), the 8th Selangor Smart City & Digital Economy Convention (SDEC 2023), as well as the 4th Selangor R&D And Innovation Expo (SRIE 2023).

On top of that, SIBS 2023 will also feature the Selangor International Culinary Festival (SICF), the Selangor International Healthcare Conference (SIHC) and the Selangor International Business Summit Invitational Golf Tournament 2023.

Teng hopes that the summit this year will provide more possibilities for global firms, small and medium enterprises and startups to present their products and services, as well as serve as a strategic outlet for collaborations and partnerships.

“We had a huge success in SIBS 2022, and we are confident that SIBS 2023 will at least reach the same success, if not more,” Teng added.

Exhibitors interested in taking part in the summit may contact the secretariat at Invest Selangor before March 31 to enjoy an up to 30% early bird discount.

Rates for standard shell scheme booths start from as low as RM8,800. However, Malaysian Registered Companies, on the other hand, are eligible for special rates at RM6,600 and early birds from RM6,160.
