DS Sigma Holdings Bhd stocks rose another 6 sen or 15.38% to 45 sen in early trading today after dropping 28% to 39 sen the day before. It was trading at 44.5 sen at 11.50am today with 22.5 million shares exchanging hands.
The packaging product provider was one of the top gainer and most active stocks in early trading today, hitting an intra-day high of 47 sen.
In an exchange filing on Feb 24, DS Sigma reported a net profit of RM1.98 million for the second quarter ended Dec 31, 2022 (2Q23) on a revenue of RM18.94 million mainly driven by the sales of corrugated cartons and paper pallets in the electrical and electronic product sector.
Earlier this year, DS Sigma debuted on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia and successfully raised RM50.15 million from the IPO via the issuance of 91.18 million new ordinary shares.
DS Sigma’s top shareholders are DS Kaizen Sdn Bhd with a 61% stake, Teoh Soo Lien (5.93%) and Beh Seng Lee (1.01%). It has a market capitalisation of RM216 million.
