Selangor Aviation Show back to connect industry players

SELANGOR is well on its way to help the country fulfil its aspiration of becoming the leading aerospace hub in Asean with the third edition of the Selangor Aviation Show (SAS 2023).

To be held at Skypark Regional Aviation Centre (RAC), Subang from Sept 7 to 9, 2023, SAS has been a networking event for the aerospace industry players since 2021 to re-energise their business in the region.

This year the show will continue to connect relevant stakeholders who will showcase their product and services, network, dialogue, and share knowledge and offerings to revitalise the industry.

Selangor State Executive Councillor for Industry and Trade Datuk Teng Chang Kim (centre) who announced the event today noted that aerospace has been an important sector for the state, which has established a strong ecosystem with over 67% of the overall aerospace ecosystem in Malaysia located and operates in Selangor.

“Selangor’s unrivalled geographical advantages, industrial real estate, and infrastructure are complemented by a diverse talent pool, offering a transformational opportunity for global industry players to take their businesses to greater heights.

“The aerospace and aviation industry has seen steady growth over the years, demonstrating its resilience and potential to create long-term economic value for the nation, despite current global challenges,” he said.

Hosted by the Selangor government and organised by Invest Selangor, SAS 2023 will feature local and international exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services in the general and business aviation segment, sports and recreational aircraft, helicopter as well as the drone segment.

The three-day event carries the theme “The One and Only Business and General Aviation Show in the Region”.

With two exhibition halls and three forum rooms, it aims to gather at least 50 exhibitors representing the world’s best aerospace and aviation industries, displaying their aircraft on the tarmac or in the exhibition booths.

Among the programmes planned include industry forums, presentations, networking activities and a dedicated education session and career fair for aviation tertiary students on the third day of the show including some activities for children. SAS 2023 targets at least 12,000 visitors.

Interested trade visitors may plan their visits to SAS 2023 for all three days while the public and students are encouraged to visit on the third day.
