MMC Group members, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and Johor Port Authority (JPA), had handed out school essentials to underprivileged children, recently.

Under the “Back-to-School Programme 2023”, a total of 170 underprivileged students from 13 primary schools and four secondary schools from Gelang Patah, Johor, received brand-new school items.

These items include lunch boxes, cooler bags and water cups, which were all environmentally friendly.

This programme is part of PTP’s direction and commitment to its environment, social and governance (ESG) initiatives.

The handover took place in a ceremony at the Wisma PTP, Johor, and was attended by Johor Baru District Education Office Head of Students’ Affairs and Development Unit Mohd Zamri Jamaluddin; JPA assistant GM, management services and finance division Norazlin Yusop, as well as teachers, parents and students.
