Hussein Omar Khan is new Selangor police chief

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) deputy director (intelligence/operations) Datuk Hussein Omar Khan (picture) has been appointed the new Selangor police chief. 

Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) secretary Datuk Noorsiah Saaduddin, in a statement, said Hussien was appointed to the position with effect from March 13 with the rank of Police Commissioner (CP).

Prior to this, Selangor Deputy Police Chief Datuk S. Sasikala Devi was acting State Police Chief after Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed went on mandatory retirement on January 2.

Arjunaidi served 35 years in PDRM and had stints with seven police contingents namely Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Bukit Aman and Selangor. — BERNAMA
