KERJAYA Prospek Group Bhd’s 49% unit, Kerjaya Bina BMK Sdn Bhd (KBB), has accepted a letter of award (LoA) from BBCC Development Sdn Bhd for a design-and-build contract work on the main building of a proposed development project off Jalan Hang Tuah and Jalan Pudu in Kuala Lumpur, worth RM135.4 million.
BBCC Development is a joint venture company set up by Employees Provident Fund, UDA Holdings Bhd and Eco World Development Group Bhd.
It told the stock exchange today that the design-and-build work is for a block of 31-storey service apartment, basement and podium, which comprises a seven-storey carpark, a main lobby and a multipurpose hall.
Construction works are expected to commence on March 1, 2023, for a duration of 36 months.
Kerjaya Prospek CEO and ED Tee Eng Tiong said the contract, the first for the group this year, will boost its outstanding orderbook to RM4.3 billion and will provide the group with earnings visibility for the next five years.
The construction outfit stock gained one sen, to end today’s trade at RM1.22, representing a market capitalisation of RM1.5 million. — TMR / pic source: kerjayagroup.com
