DAGANG NeXchange Bhd’s (DNeX) unit, Innovation Associates Consulting Sdn Bhd (IAC) has bagged a maintenance contract from the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB).
Under the contract, IAC will be responsible for the application and software maintenance of Malaysia Hasil Integrated Taxation Systems (HITS).
The one-year contract, valued at RM4.05 million, is expected to commence in February 2023 and be operationalised at IRB’s headquarters in Cyberjaya, it said in a statement today.
DNeX executive chairman Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir said the maintenance contract can put DNeX on better footing and reinforce the company’s technology consulting and system integration arm to expand its digital capabilities.
“We can assist our clients in aligning strategic business missions with their practices by leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics, backed by our in-house online and on-site certified technical support technicians as a value-added customer experience,” he added.
DNeX closed three sen, or 4.58%, higher to close at 68.5 sen today, translating to a market capitalisation of RM2.1 billion. — TMR / pic Muhd Amin Naharul
