BNM international reserves expands to US$115b as at Jan 13

BANK Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) international reserves grew to US$114.9 billion (RM503.26 billion) as at Jan 13, 2023, from US$114.6 billion as at Dec 30, 2022, according to the central bank.

“The reserves position is sufficient to finance 5.3 months of imports of goods and services, and is one time of the total short-term external debt,” the central bank said in a statement today. — TMR
