THE Education Ministry (MoE) will continue with the current education policy while also enhancing the delivery process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Its Minister Fadhlina Sidek (picture) said there are several improvements in the aspects of the delivery process and educational services that need to be implemented.
She said the ministry’s aspirations are clear enough and every matter to be decided needs to be researched and handled prudently.
“Thus, I will take a more holistic approach through a process of consultation and deliberation with strategic partners and all stakeholders.
“At the same time, we will ensure the entire education ecosystem follows the process set and based on the Education Act 1996, as well as other related regulations,” Fadhlina said at a press conference today.
She added that the MoE will reinstate the National Education Advisory Council as soon as possible to enhance the direction of the education system, with a focus on the fulfilment of the Malaysian Education Development Plan, which will end in 2025.
She said the ministry will prioritise the issue, and wishes to see happy students, teachers, schools and a thriving country.
“The MoE will strengthen cooperation with all parties, including the Malaysian National Teachers Service Association, the Malaysian School Principals Council, the Malaysian Principals Association, Community and Private Parent Involvement, and other stakeholders, to obtain views and input to ensure this is realised,” she added.
