KEY ASIC Bhd has bagged two application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) contracts worth over RM26 million over three years.
It told the stock exchange today that it had entered into two ASIC design service contracts with P company, which is in the business of designing, developing, manufacturing and selling products that contain semiconductor devices.
According to Key ASIC, each contract consists of two parts, namely the non-recurring engineering fee that consists of IP licensing and design engineering fees, and the sales of the chips in mass production.
It also said that one of the projects is the design of advanced System on Chip using 28nm technology while the other chip is a high-end sensor using micro-electromechanical systems technology.
The board is of the opinion that the contracts entered into are in the best interest of the company, it said.
