FORMER Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) secretary general Tan Sri Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria (picture) joins engineering services company Dialog Group Bhd as an independent and non-ED, the company said in an exchange filing today.

Rebecca, 65, is now an ED of the Singapore-based Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Secretariat. She took on the role in 2019, three years after retiring from MITI.

She also holds directorship in Sunway Bhd, RHB Bank Bhd, Hartalega Holdings Bhd and Eco World International Bhd. She also serves as a trustee of MyKasih Foundation and Yayasan Hartalega.

At its AGM today, the shareholders also reelected Chan Yew Kai and Badrul Hisham Dahalan as directors. The company also announced the retirement of Siti Khairon Binti Shariff as a director.

In an earlier announcement for the first quarter ended Sept 30, 2022 (1QFY23), the integrated technical service provider to the energy sector said its net profit was down 3% to RM125.79 million from the same period a year earlier, on RM711.7 million in turnover which was up 40.8% from the year before. — TMR/pic by Bernama
