KUALA LUMPUR – The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives is likely to move in tandem with the cash market next week.
A dealer said Bursa Malaysia is likely to trade higher next week amid continuous buying support from institutional investors.
For the week just ended, October 2022 rose 59.0 points to 1,442.5, November 2022 gained 58.0 points to 1,440.5, December 2022 went up 57.5 points to 1,441.0 and March 2023 expanded by 57.0 points to 1,432.0.
Turnover appreciated to 44,586 lots from 31,400 lots in the previous week and open interest increased to 41,136 contracts from 37,198 contracts previously.
On a Friday-to-Friday basis, the FBM KLCI advanced 63.95 points to 1,446.42 from 1,382.47 a week earlier. – Bernama
