Langkawi voted as 4th Best Island to Visit in Asia by Condé Nast readers

MALAYSIA’S Langkawi Island has again been featured on a list of top islands in Asia. 

The Jewel of Kedah was voted as the Fourth Best Island to Visit in Asia in the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2022.

Additionally, three resorts on the island — The Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, The Datai Langkawi and The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi — were voted among the Top 20 Resorts in Asia.

Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) CEO Nasaruddin Abdul Muttalib said this award proves that all its efforts in positioning and promoting the island as the most desired tourist destination in the world is paying off. 

“Aside from that, we are also extremely delighted to share that we were voted by over a quarter of a million readers, making this an even more special occasion.

“It is extremely heart-warming to know that our Jewel of Kedah is appreciated by tourists from all around the globe and we will continue to put our best foot forward in ensuring Langkawi is among the frontrunners in the international tourism industry.”

He said the island has great potential in set the country apart from others, especially with its multiple tourist attractions such as the first Unesco-listed geopark in South-East Asia.

Langkawi, the archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea, is known for its rich tourism and an array of exciting places to visit. 

Wind down and relax at three of its world class hotels in the Condé Nast Traveller list with The Four Seasons Hotel Langkawi coming in at No 6, while The Datai Langkawi took 10th place and The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi at No 14.
