TIME dotCom Bhd has launched its 2Gbps plan, which comes with two free Wifi six-mesh devices and is available at select locations within Time’s coverage from Oct 7, 2022.

There are plans to continue rolling it out in phases to enable all customers to enjoy what Time dubbed as “Malaysia’s fastest home Internet speeds”.

Time investor relations and special projects head Rohaila Basir said to this exact date four years ago, Time changed the game when it launched the first ever gig-speed plan for Malaysians.

“While 1Gbps still leads the market, we have chosen not to rest on our laurels and instead, double our speed offering once again as our customers deserve the very best.

“The demand for stable, high-speed connectivity will only increase and the best way to prepare for it is to stay ahead of the game.

“The past two years have seen a surge in Internet usage as we know everyone will need more bandwidth and we will continue to innovate on both the product and service fronts to make great Internet available to even more Malaysians,” she said in a statement today.

2Gbps is being deployed commercially off the back of Time’s 10G PON network, which is a first in Malaysia.

Increased market demand for bandwidth and new technology signals that Malaysia is ready to take things to the next level.

Time will also launch Pakej MyKabel which is aimed at premises where stable, high-speed broadband penetration is low to ensure gigabit Internet access is available to even more Malaysians.

The offering will be rolled out in phases to selected locations.
