AUSTRALIAN-BASED property developer, Exal Group Pty Ltd, has announced its debut in the Malaysian market. The RM365 million residential project — SÓL Estate — in the heart of Kuching, Sarawak, is a three-acre (1.21ha) development which prioritises multi-generational living and features 269 bespoke homes across three phases.
Located along Arang Road West in Batu Kawa, the project is a first-of-its-kind development within the state.
Phase 1 is already underway and comprises 74 bespoke homes featuring 42 double-storey duplexes and 32 double-storey courtyard homes, which are scheduled to be completed by December 2024.
Phase 1 recently kicked off with the SÓL Estate Gallery launch and has already seen over 50% of the units sold off.
Exal Group (M) MD Albert Ko stated that the launch received an encouraging response from the market.
“As urbanites and global citizens flock away from densely populated megacities in search of more nature-centric and tranquil locales, Kuching is fast making a name for itself as a new haven for multi-generational homes.
“SÓL Estate with its forward-thinking living concept is the embodiment of this spirit, one which lays the foundation for better ways of living, beyond buildings.
“The entirety of SÓL Estate is ‘centred around you’ — conceptualised, designed and crafted with the unique needs and wants of multiple generations living in modern society in mind.
“SÓL Estate derives its name from the Latin word for sun and much like the sun, it has been carefully moulded to act as one’s compass, grounding you and pulling you towards the calm once more, no matter the time of day.
“From early morning cups of coffee and jogs to late night unwinding and relaxation, SÓL Estate caters to it all,” he said in a statement today.
The project’s sales gallery was officiated by Ko, Exal Group MD Bay Yeo, Tan Sri Yee and Datuk Barry Tan.
Over 100 visitors and potential home buyers attended the three-day event, and over the weekend, more than half of Phase 1 was sold.
The project features a modular interior style space with innovative designs that will withstand the test of time. The home layouts blur the distinction between interior and outside spaces, resulting in a stronger connection to nature while yet providing highly functional residences. The residence is also gated and secured 24 hours daily and each home comes with a 10-year roof leak warranty.
The project is dotted with 18 handpicked facilities developed around the dawn to dusk concept to holistically cater to residents’ daily life. Other facilities equipped include an orchard forest and a community farm, a hill play yard for kids, a stunning water feature and maze, outdoor fitness facilities, a street basketball court, an eco-terrace and more.
Furthermore, SÓL Estate provides a plethora of connectivity convenience with numerous tertiary education institutions nearby, three top-tier medical facilities and five commercial centres close by.
The group presently has approximately RM3 billion in gross development value in Perth, Australia, with SÓL Estate representing the group’s first move outside of Australia.
