Corporate Movements: Changes at Heng Huat Resources, Tiong Nam and Jiankun

HENG Huat Resources Group Bhd has appointed former Landmarks Bhd group CFO and group CEO Fong Chee Khuen as its new CEO, effective today. Fong, 51, began his career as an internal audit executive at Gula Perak Bhd and progressed to the post of head of finance and company secretary before leaving in 2000 to join Sungei Wang Plaza Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Landmarks, the company said in an exchange filing yesterday.

Logistic service provider Tiong Nam Logistics Holdings Bhd has promoted COO Ong Wei Kuan to deputy MD of the company, with her sister Christina Ong Chu Voon taking over the COO role. The company is helmed by their parents Yoong Nyock as its MD and Yong Kwee Lian as ED. 

Meanwhile, Jiankun International Bhd saw Datuk Ir Lim Siang Chai and Datuk Saiful Nizam Mohd Yusoff swapping roles. Lim is now the ED while Saiful Nizam takes on the role of executive deputy chairman. Saiful Nizam is the son-in-law of former DPM and Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahidi Hamidi. — TMR / graphic TMR
