THE Parliamentary Services and the Political Funding Bills will be tabled in the Third Meeting of the Parliament session, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar (picture) said.

According to him, both bills together with the Amendments to the Houses of Parliament (Privileges and Powers) Act 2022 and Insolvency Act 1967 have yet to receive the green light from the Cabinet.

“Anti-Stalking Law will be tabled for second reading today,” he said in a statement today.

Wan Junaidi added there are nine bills ready for second reading at the Third Meeting of the Fifth Session of the 14th Parliament which will take place from today until Nov 29 at the Dewan Rakyat.

“In addition, approximately 13 bills which have been approved by the Cabinet will be tabled for its first and second reading in the Dewan Rakyat,” he added.

Wan Junaidi was also confident that the government has achieved the goal of Government Transformation and the successful transformation of Parliament with all of the amendments proposed above.

“I believe that all of these transformations will benefit the country and the people as a whole because they are a bipartisan agreement under the government initiative,” he said.
