THE National Higher Education Fund Corp (PTPTN) has awarded loyalty rewards to its Simpan SSPN Prime depositors.
The campaign, held from Feb 22 to April 30, 2022, offered an additional 1% rate on top of the annual dividend and a token of PTPTN’s appreciation to depositors who made long-term savings.
These had been deposited into 44,758 eligible Simpan SSPN Prime accounts, involving a total allocation of RM2.38 million.
Eligible participants were those who opened a Simpan SSPN Prime account between 2004 and Dec 31, 2018; made a minimum cumulative deposit of RM500; and did not make any withdrawals throughout the campaign period until July 31, 2022.
Simpan SSPN Prime depositors may check their loyalty rewards via their account statements on PTPTN’s official portal or the myPTPTN mobile application.
PTPTN CEO Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid (picture) said the total amount of Simpan SSPN Prime deposits received through the loyalty rewards campaign was RM238.3 million.
“This campaign has received an encouraging response from Malaysians towards cultivating the habit of saving for higher education,” he said in a statement today.
As of Aug 31, 2022, the amount of Simpan SSPN deposits received was RM1.92 billion (68.65%) of the RM2.8 billion target for 2022.
“PTPTN encourages depositors to continue saving in Simpan SSPN Prime due to its various benefits including income tax exemption up to RM8,000 per year, free takaful protection for depositors, competitive dividends, matching grants up to RM10,000, Syariah-compliant and guaranteed by the government,” Ahmad Dasuki said.
He added that furthermore, SSPN depositors may also win prizes worth RM1 million through the “Cabutan WOW! 25 Tahun PTPTN” campaign which is ongoing until the end of the year.
The main prize for the campaign is a Mercedes-Benz A250 AMG Line car.
