Starbucks partners Chef Fazley on new menu; 7CAFé offers Flaming Choco with a Lingham’s twist

INSPIRED by Malaysian food traditions, Starbucks Malaysia has again partnered celebrity chef Datuk Fazley Yaakob to introduce a newly curated menu.

The menu, launched on Aug 29, includes familiar classics and renowned local street food favourites. Further roll outs to East Malaysia are planned later in the year. 

The limited-edition menu offers innovative creations inspired by the food traditions that Chef Fazley grew up with, combined with high-quality ingredients and a Western spin.

Berjaya Food Bhd group CEO and Starbucks Malaysia & Brunei MD Datuk Sydney Quays said the collaboration brings something truly unique to the coffee chain, a menu that represents the comforting, wholesome food that most of us grew up on.

“The dishes in this new menu really speaks to our sense of place here, as a brand so well-loved by Malaysians, especially with the upcoming Malaysia Day ahead. It is not just a celebration of unity, but also a celebration of the different cultures and traditions of our country.”

Priced from RM11.90, the menu includes Pau Sambal Malaysia — reimagined with Starbucks signature donut and filled with Chili sambal, eggs, cucumber and fried anchovies.

Also available is the Croissant Roti John with a French twist, featuring Starbucks signature croissant buns, baked with spiced chicken, omelet and fresh coleslaw. 

The Brioche Murtabak Ayam is filled with chicken and herb curry filling and Malaysian four spices, while the Ayam Percik Linguine is sliced and placed atop a freshly tossed linguine with a delicious sweet and spicy sauce.

Last but not last, the Kuih Bakar Cheesecake. At Starbucks Malaysia, the familiar pandan-flavoured Kuih Bakar is reimagined as a cheesecake.

Meanwhile, 7CAFé by 7-Eleven is teaming up with Lingham on the new Flaming Choco soft serve available at all its outlets for RM2.90.

The soft serve of the month features 7CAFé’s sweet chocolate soft serve intertwined with the unique taste of Lingham’s chili sauce. Founded in 1908, Lingham’s spicy, yet sweet and sour chilli sauce is no stranger to many Malaysians.
