T7 Global appoints new CEO, aims to double revenue in coming years

ENERGY solutions provider T7 Global Bhd plans to double its annual revenue to RM500 million in the coming years, said its newly appointed group CEO Tan Kay Zhuin (picture).

Tan’s promotion was announced in a filing with the local exchange today.

The company posted RM5.37 million in net profit on the back of RM114.94 million in revenue for the first six months ended June 30, 2022. For the full 2021 financial year, it posted a net profit of RM10.51 million with a turnover of RM264.35 million.

Tan, who has been the group CCO since 2018, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (Hons) from University of New South Wales, Sydney. He joined the company in 2016 as offshore construction and maintenance head.

Prior to his stint, he has worked in several multinational corporations and exploration and production companies such as Technip, Toyo Engineering Corporation and KrisEnergy Ltd.

He is the son of Tan Sri Tan Kean Soon, the executive deputy chairman and substantial shareholder of T7 global and brother of Tan Kay Vin, the company’s ED.

In the same statement, T7 Global group chairman Datuk Seri Nik Norzrul Thani N Hassan Thani said one of Tan’s achievements was transforming the group from an offshore maintenance services company to an integrated solutions provider in energy, aerospace and defence, and infrastructure construction.

“Kay Zhuin is instrumental in defining the success blueprint for the Energy division. He has since improved the Group’s order book to over RM2 billion in the past three years as the group COO ,” he said.
