Bursa Malaysia, Yayasan Pahang organise ‘Karnival Saham’ to educate new investors

There will be financial literacy talk, personal money management, budgeting, savings, investing insights and financial scams for the public

BURSA Malaysia Bhd and Yayasan Pahang are organising a “Karnival Saham Pahang Bersama Bursa Malaysia” to educate the public on early investment and the stock market investing.

Themed “Labur Hari Ini Untuk Mampan Masa Hadapan”, the event is to educate the public about investing early, responsibly and confidently in the stock market.

Among the programme during the one-day event is financial literacy talk, personal money management, budgeting, savings, investing insights and financial scams.

Aside from learning how to identify fraudulent investment schemes for both conventional and Shariah-compliant, the participants will also be facilitating the opening of Central Depository System (CDS) accounts for free. 

Entertainment, family activities, drawing competitions and food trucks are also available throughout the event. 

There will be special appearances by Sri Pahang football players and their head coach Datuk Dollah Salleh.  

Bursa Malaysia chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar said financial literacy is important for the entire family to ensure careful investment can be done the family’s future and not fall prey to scams.

“I am pleased that Bursa Malaysia is working together with Yayasan Pahang to instil good investing habits early among the rakyat,” he said.

KPJ Healthcare Bhd and Global Peace Foundation Malaysia will also be exhibiting their products and services at the carnival.

The programme, held tomorrow at Kompleks Yayasan Pahang, is free for the public to attend, and it will be open from 9am until 5pm.
