MINISTRY of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (K-KOMM) through Malaysia Digital Economy Corp (MDEC) will be organising Jualan Murah Keluarga Malaysia (JMKM) @DE DAGANG starting this month until December 2022.

It is aimed at tackling inflation by lowering food prices while alleviating the local entrepreneurs to spur their digital activities.

During the four months, the public can get incentives including price cuts, discount vouchers and rebates for essential items, necessities, retail products, food and household appliances available at discounted rates of up to 20%.

The incentives offered through JMKM@DE DAGANG can be redeemed from 17 participating friends’ digital platforms.

The platform includes Bizapp, InstanteStore, Jocom, Kravve.co, Kumoten, Lokein, Maybank, Rtist, SiteGiant, Wonderfly and also overseas platforms such as Fave, Foodpanda, Grab, Lazada, OYO Hospitality, Shopee and TikTok.

In a statement, K-KOMM Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa (picture) said JMKM@DE DAGANG is expected to benefit 100,000 local businesses and out of the total, 30,000 are new businesses joining this programme.

Not only that, JMKM@DE DAGANG will help local entrepreneurs and brands export their locally manufactured, tourism and craft products from the digital platform.

The target gross sales volume is expected to exceed RM1.5 billion by generating five million transactions.

This year’s campaign also aims to alleviate the entrepreneurs in target sectors such as halal, agricultural and Malaysian-made products.

In addition, JMKM@DE DAGANG together with its digital platform partners will also channel financial support worth RM300 million to local businesses through various e-commerce and e-payment platforms that aim to improve sales ability, while increasing their income.

Meanwhile, MDEC will continue to drive the digital adoption among local businesses through the Digital Malaysia Initiative, at the same time strengthening Malaysia’s position as Asean’s digital hub.
