THE new Renault Zoe is now open for sale in Malaysia. 

TC Euro Cars Sdn Bhd (TCEC), the sole franchise holder of Renault vehicles in Malaysia, announced that two variants will be available in the Malaysian market with different motor configurations — the R110 and R135. 

The company said the updated powertrains promise a smooth and responsive driving experience.

Priced at RM163,0001, the new Zoe R110 delivers a maximum output of 80kW and 225 Nm of torque for efficiency.

The more powerful new Zoe R135 provides a peak power of 100kW and maximum torque of 245 Nm. The official price for the new Zoe R135 has yet to be confirmed, but is estimated at RM175,0001.

Those keen for a closer look at the new Zoe can visit the Renault flagship showroom along Jalan Kemajuan in Section 13, Petaling Jaya, where there is a Zoe R110 unit on display.

The latest generation 100% electric Renault Zoe is said to boast increased power and range, as well as a host of engineering and technological enhancements and distinctive French styling.

Since its mass production launch in 2012, almost 380,000 units of the Renault Zoe have been sold by end of May 2022.

Both the Zoe R110 and R135 are powered by Renault’s new 52 kWh Z.E. 50 battery, with a range of up to 395 km on the WLTP2. This is a 25% improvement over the previous generation battery without any increase in physical dimensions.

The new Renault Zoe now also features direct current (DC) rapid charging capability via the new Combo CCS2 plug, in addition to its Type 2 alternating current (AC) charging option.

With DC charging, the new Renault Zoe recovers up to 145km of driving range in 30 minutes. With AC Type 2 charging, the new Zoe achieves zero to 100% capacity in three hours (on the 22kW charger) and nine hours 30 minutes (on the 7.4kW charger).

On the inside, the freshly redesigned cabin features a wide 10-inch customisable full TFT instrument cluster and the Renault EASY LINK multimedia system with six speaker audios. 

The updated infotainment system also features a seven-inch central touchscreen with smartphone replication that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
