MALAYSIA Airlines Bhd’s new Baggage Self-Service Reporting feature helps passengers to make online reports of any delayed or missing baggage instantly.
Passengers can also track and monitor the recovery process and get the latest information on the reports through airline representatives.
The Baggage Self-Service Reporting feature is now available for Malaysia Airlines’ domestic and international passengers.
Malaysia Airlines’ group chief marketing and customer experience officer Lau Yin May said it intends to facilitate passengers through digitising travellers’ journey with contactless services, from biometric facial recognition during check-in to shopping via Journify and having it delivered to the boarding gate for departing and arriving passengers.
“The launch is timely as it gives peace of mind and reassurance to our passengers that their needs are taken care of, especially when travelling during this peak period as many airports globally are facing operational challenges in managing the influx of revenge travellers.
“We are continuously looking for ways to enhance our service offerings, and the Baggage Self-service Reporting feature aligns with our efforts to offer comprehensive and integrated end-to-end solutions for our passengers.
“The latest addition to our contactless services reinforces our strong commitment to provide safe, hygienic and seamless journeys for customers who travel with Malaysia Airlines,” she said in a statement today.
The newly launched feature also further complements the airline’s efforts to ensure efficiency across its operations with assurance of continuous improvements in managing customer queries, reducing the average waiting time to below 20 minutes, to address the queries received via contact centre.
In addition, the airline also offers a student travel programme through its MHexplorer programme which offers discounts on flight tickets all-year round, additional baggage allowance, shopping discounts and more.
The airline has also recently launched its newest in-flight safety video titled “Satu Dua Tiga, Jom!” which highlights a catchy, musical rendition of the in-flight safety demonstrations.
