GOOD news for shoppers. Sunway Malls is celebrating the July 19, 1997, opening of its Sunway Pyramid shopping centre with a 25th Silver Jubilee Giveaway.

To thank customers for their continued loyalty, shoppers will be rewarded for spending within the mall and stand a chance to win amazing prizes, including Sunway Pals Points worth RM25,000.

Taking place in Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity Mall, Sunway Carnival Mall, Sunway Putra Mall and Sunway Big Box Retail Park from July 22 to Aug 14, 2022, the giveaway includes a Spin the Wheel contest where shoppers simply need to spend a minimum of RM150 in two receipts to be eligible for one spin to win an instant prize.

Those who spend more will be entitled to more spins daily, and Sunway Pals or Citi Cardmembers get one extra spin for their spending.

Customers born in the month of July or the year of 1997 will also be entitled to one extra spin. As customers only have a maximum of five spins a day, they can return on other days to keep spinning and winning.

Each spin is also counted as one entry for the lucky draw for prizes such as Sunway Pals Points worth RM25,000, Poh Kong jewellery, Dyson products and more.

Sunway Malls & Theme Parks CEO HC Chan said the retail group began operations in 1997 with Sunway Pyramid’s one million sq ft net lettable area (NLA). 

“Today, we have scaled up to seven malls with a combined five million sq ft NLA. Hopefully, over the next five years, we endeavour to double both that number of malls and its NLA.”

Sunway Malls is gearing to be among Malaysia’s largest mall owner-operator as existing projects and those in the pipeline now stand at 7.7 million sq ft NLA and that figure is planned to be increased to 10.2 million sq ft NLA in the near future.

It recently introduced its e-commerce arm, Sunway eMall, to provide a fuss-free online shopping experience.
