Protasco’s unit to develop civil servant housing project

PROTASCO Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Protacso Development Sdn Bhd (PDSB), has been appointed as the developer for Residensi Perihatin Keluarga Malaysia (RPKM) project.

The company said in an exchange filing today that the letter of award was given by Perbadanan Putrajaya to construct 1,681-unit apartments in the Federal Territory of Putrajaya under the 1Malaysia Civil Servants Housing Programme scheme, with a gross development cost of RM442.68 million.

The awarding of the project was previously announced on Dec 21, 2017.

“Under the new scheme of RPKM, PDSB will undertake to develop the following projects solely to construct 688 units of apartments under ‘RPKM Putrajaya Melur’ and 984 units of apartments under ‘RPKM Putrajaya Kenanga,” the company said.

“The project is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of Protasco Group,” it added. — TMR
