Batik Air to resume flight services to India

BATIK Air will restore direct services from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Mumbai, Kochi and Bangalore, India, effective August 2022.

According to the airline in a statement today, the first four times weekly flight to Mumbai, OD215, will depart from KLIA on Aug 1 at 7:15pm and arrive at Mumbai at 10:25pm. 

The resumption of the routes is in response to strong demand for connectivity to cities in India, Batik Air said.

“India is an important market in our Indian Sub-Continent network. We are stepping up our services in response to the robust demand for air travel to the cities in India,” Batik Air CEO Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri said in the same statement.

“By October, we will increase our frequency to those cities. Additionally, we are looking at expanding our reach to more cities in this key market. This will offer our customers more flexibility and options in their travel plans,” he added.

The returning flight OD216 will depart from Mumbai at 11:15pm and arrive at KLIA at 7:15am.

Flight OD231 will depart from KLIA to Kochi at 9:35pm and arrive at 11:10pm, with the first flight departing on Aug 1, 2022. Flight OD232 will return to KLIA at 12:10am and arrive at KLIA at 7:05am. Frequency to Kochi is also four times weekly.

The service to Bangalore is twice weekly, operating on every Thursday and Sunday. The first flight will commence on Aug 4, departing from KLIA at 8:40pm and arriving at Bangalore at 10:20pm.
