MERCEDES-BENZ Malaysia plans to maintain the price points of its vehicles despite the increase in the cost of raw materials globally.
President and CEO Sagree Sardien said the company believed it can maintain the price points as it is very well-hedged.
“Of course, we will continuously face rising costs when it comes to raw materials and we have to continuously evaluate them, to see where we are still in the right pricing band.
“I do think we are quite comfortable at this state and time to maintain the price point as we see it,” she said during the launch of Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in Setia Alam, Selangor, today.
Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia VP of sales and marketing Michael Jopp when commenting on the Sales and Service Tax (SST) exemption for new vehicles, said the company was still waiting for clarity on the details of the announcement.

“We hope to get clarity on this as soon as possible,” he said.
