THE youth wing of Parti Pejuang Tanahair (Pejuang Muda) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Silver Gold Collector Club (SGCC) as an advocacy partner and gold and silver dealer for Pejuang.
The mutual agreement reflects both parties’ determination to make gold a joint trading community with the aim of increasing the literacy and knowledge of people on the importance of gold.
“The ever-increasing nature of gold prices over a long period of time justifies that the platform is appropriate to be extended to every level of consensus,” said Pejuang development and entrepreneur exco Muhammad Danial Don Alfian.
He said the gold is seen to have a huge opportunity as an inflation-proof community following the value of the Malaysian ringgit which has fallen sharply recently.
“Hence, the Pejuang Muda and SGCC agreed to offer gold-based purchases, servicing, leasing and sale of souvenirs as a sustainable asset class during this time including promoting special edition souvenirs of Pejuang and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (picture) (Pejuang chairman),” he said.
Meanwhile, through the MoU, Pejuang Muda and SGCC will organise “Malam Aspirasi Negarawan”, first of its kind event in Malaysia that applied the blockchain technology in Malaysia, specifically using the non-fungible token (NFT) as a medium of change.
“This method serves as one way of redeeming ticket packages offered by the organisers,” Pejuang treasurer Muhammad Fikri Ahmad said.
He noted that the method could make the NFT a charitable collection mechanism in line with the development of world technology.
“The system is also more systematic and more transparent, especially in the handling of public property,” he added.
The event which is scheduled on July 1 in Bangi, will be the beginning of the Tun M NFT Club to produce another collection of NFTs, while featuring prominent Malaysian artists such as Ramli Sarip, Adibah Noor and Mad Sabah.
