Ruffedge to jam at DFP on July 2

RUFFEDGE, one of Malaysia’s most popular R&B and hip-hop groups, will be holding a concert themed “Ruffera” at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP) in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, July 2, at 8.30pm.

Regaining popularity after their comeback at the Anugerah Meletop 2018, followed by their 20th-anniversary celebration that year, the popular quintet will serenade fans by taking them down memory lane as concertgoers enjoy a memorable experience of beautiful ballads, funky beats and vocal harmonies.

Ruffedge will be performing their popular hits such as “Tiada Lagi Cinta”, “Bila Rindu”, “Lemas”, “Tipah Tertipu” and “Seperti Mereka”, as well as tributes to other musicians. The band will be supported by an ensemble led by music director Datuk Acis.

The band’s debut at DFP will follow in the footsteps of other groups which have held their concerts there such as Hujan and Akim & The Majistret.

“Each ensemble has captivated concertgoers with their outstanding musicianship at a setting known for its magnificent acoustics.

“The concert is also in line with DFP’s goal to provide diverse music and cultural offerings to create a unique experience for all,” DFP said in a statement.

Ruffedge was established in 1997 and won the Sony Battery Face On Talent Search Competition in 1999.

Since then, the group went on to produce three studio albums and two compilation albums, all of which were great successes, with Defined (2004) and Ruffera (2005) receiving platinum certifications, as well as multiple hits such as “Tipah Tertipu” and “Da’ Bomb.”

Ruffedge was not only nominated at the Anugerah Era and Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian, but also won the Artis Harapan award at Anugerah Industri Muzik in 2003 and was one of Anugerah Juara Lagu finalists in 2004.

Tickets for “Ruffera” are priced from RM100 to RM200 each, and at RM320 and RM360 per seat at the suites. Visit
